For those of you unfamiliar with my strange and varied nocturnal habits, dreaming is something I rarely do. In the same way that some people aren’t very good at tennis, it seems that dreaming is something that I’m not very good at. But on Sunday morning I had a dream (Sadly, not in a grand and very much needed Martin Luther King way, but in a small pseudo-retro-intro-spective way).

Almost exactly five years ago, I finished high school and despite spending the last 16 – 17 years in a beach-town, I and my friends felt the need to go to another beach town to celebrate. Albeit, this beach town was bigger, sleazier and played host to 50,000 other school leavers, but it was a beach town none the less. (Arguably this beach town had much worse beaches and coffee shops, although to its credit, it did have much better looking meter maids). After a week of partying, drinking too much and arguing with people dispensing red frogs, I decided not to take the bus and catch a lift back up the coast with a friend.
In my dream, I caught the bus.

That is to say, both my past self and current self caught the bus.

I can’t remember how I realized where or when I was and why I wasn’t alarmed at the fact I’d gone back in time or had obviously been on the gold coast. But I do remember having a chat to myself, we were under no disillusions, we each spoke about ourselves and what we were doing with ourselves and listened to one another.

It was an oddly humbling experience, one that I can’t find the words to explain.

The odd thing is, that when I accepted the lift back in my friend’s car. I fell asleep and had a surprisingly vivid dream. Though, I can’t remember too much of it these days, apart from waking up to think that I had a surprisingly vivid dream and was left with a weird sense of surreality.

spooky

apologises for any errors in spelling, grammar and logic, I’m rather tired :p

If livejournal has taught me anything it is this; that posting requires a strong emotion like anger, rage or depression.

As I'm currently feeling very content, here's a video of a kitten.

If you’re anything like me, you too would be a little bit pissed at the marketing department of apple. You see they tend to take songs, and use them to advertize their products, which is all well and good, that is except for the fact that they tend to use songs I’m quite fond of.

For example, the third generation ipod nano commercial has completely bastardized Feist’s 1,2,3,4. Now, whenever the lovely Canadian songstress graces the airwaves, I’m immediately reminded of my distain of the apple marketing department. Sadly, the macbook air, seems to have it’s very thin sights set on doing the same to the ethereal Yael Naim.

So that’s it.

Now I can justify being a pretentious wanker, because as of yesterday I can now officially stick an extra 3 letters behind my name.

I really feel I should write more, however my copy of twilight princess came in today.

only at roma street

you can be hit on by more guys than girls!
you can  be offered post graduate work in politcal studies and with in hours be at both the centre of an attempted bashing and robbing!
you can learn to say cheers in four different langagues three of which are drunken slurs!
you can see that if derolyics spent even a quarter of the time they do planning elborate operations to steal a cask of goon they would be better off 99% of the australian population

Dear Parnets of Emos,

thankyou for giving your children large amounts of pocket money,
although they will then to go on accuse you of ruining their life, their retail habbits has allowed me and other thin males to buy clothes that actually fit

thanks once more

Looking back over the past month I’ve achieved pretty much everything I wanted too.

I got off my arse and found a new job
Then went on to frivolously wasting as much of my first pay check as possible

I did well in my finals and managed to score another research project in the same lab I did my last one in.

I spent time with the amazing ~vauny
Although to be honest I wish I could spend even more time with her

I caught up with old friends and made new ones

although i didn't get my L's
i've been practicing my driving with mario
